The EVAC Globular Cluster Observing Program
The Peterson Stars and Planets Field Guide defines a globular cluster as "a spherical grouping of stars of a common origin; globular clusters and the stars in them are very old."
For many amateurs, globular clusters represent some of the most visually appealing deep sky objects. This observing program, based on a list compiled by
Joe Goss, concentrates on globs - a total of
50 gems. The table below includes name, constellation and visual magnitude.
Your observing log book should contain date, time, seeing conditions, object
description and equipment used.
To download this observing program for use in the following popular astronomy software applications, simply right-click the appropriate button and select Save Target As... from the menu. Navigate to the folder of your choice and click OK.
